Please join us for a book launch of "The Little Book of Terror" by artist and essayist Daisy Rockwell. Rockwell's newest book is  described as “a literary missile...searing images and carefully-crafted prose [aimed] directly at the bloated heart of Imperial pretension.” An overall political and social commentary, the book encompasses the range of Rockwell’s activities from academic prose to painting and blogging.

Daisy Rockwell paints under the takhallus, or alias, Lapata (pronounced ‘laapataa’), which is Urdu for “missing,” or “absconded." Her paintings of writers, intellectuals, and politicians are featured on her well known blog,  She has shown her work in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Waterloo, Ontario, and Lenox and North Adams, Massachusetts. Her essays on literature and art have appeared in Bookslut, Caravan and The Sunday Guardian (New Delhi).
